Menstrual Education In The Outdoors

Strengthens Adventurers & Empowers An Inclusive World

Outdoor, field-based programs are grounded in endurance, education, and personal growth. These experiences are often both physically challenging and deeply transformative. The menstrual cycle can influence a menstruator's experience on such programs, including fluctuations in energy, recovery, stamina and much more. By integrating the fluctuations of the menstrual cycle, we can create outdoor experiences that support the wellbeing of all menstruators.
This workshop equips outdoor educators, guides, and athletes with an understanding of the menstrual cycle as a vital sign of health and how its monthly fluctuations can shape a menstruator’s experience outdoors.

When outdoor experiences integrate menstrual awareness, they support healthier adventurers and a more informed society.
